Qatar2022 – The Journey of Mowasalat
In 2022, Mowasalat was honored with the task to play a critical role in the success of the Qatar2022 tournament. As the provider of transportation solutions for the event organizers, the fans, and the public, we faced daily challenges but also gained invaluable insights. We focused on delivering an exceptional experience for all and achieved this not only through a brand-new fleet, but also through investing in our human resources and technology.
We hired over 6,500 skilled drivers from different countries, providing them with training in safe driving, emergency response, local routing, and use of technology. Advanced technology enabled us to plan our workforce and route mapping, and monitor buses in real-time, which was essential for ensuring seamless transportation during the event. Our mandate included turning the tournament into the most eco-friendly event in its history: our extensive E-fleet operated with minimal noise and zero emissions.
The convenience and accessibility offered by Qatar’s transportation infrastructure allowed fans to make the most of their time. With matches held at various stadiums throughout the country, spectators were able to easily navigate between venues, so they could witness more than one match per day, another ‘first’ for a World Cup. We are proud that we could prove the power of collaboration and teamwork to achieve a common goal. Mowasalat (Karwa) is now well-equipped to take on future events, and we look forward to serving the people of Qatar and all its guests!
